At first glance, a date featuring reading doesn't sound all that exciting for some people. If you need to mix it up a little, take turns reading the book out loud and make voices for every character. It doesn't matter if the voices sound silly; that's all a part of the fun. The sillier you sound, the more fun you'll have with each other. The book you choose to read should be something that both of you enjoy. You can set aside an hour every week for your reading date until the book is completed. You'll have so much fun taking turns while reading that you won't be able to wait until your weekly storytime date comes around.
