Going to an observatory is a great way to learn about the world and the universe around you. The place that we call home has so many mysteries that are just waiting for you to unlock them. The two of you will be amazed by how much of the universe that you've overlooked. You'll learn about planets, stars, and everything else that illuminates the night sky. Educational dates such as this can be fun since you will take the knowledge with you for the rest of your life. Every time the two of you have a star-filled romantic time under the blanket of darkness, you'll think back to everything you learned at the observatory.
Health & Wellness
An obstacle course will let you know right away all about the physical abilities of your spouse. It's surprising by the time you're done with the obstacle course how you feel the areas on your body that need the most improvement. It will be interesting to see which of you are in the best shape. If you want to take your obstacle course date to the next level, time yourself and see who can go through the course the fastest. If you do the obstacles several times, you'll eventually get good at them and will be able to complete the course faster and faster.
Events & Attractions
There is no celebration quite like Oktoberfest. You don't need to be German or be in Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest. Many cities around the world celebrate Oktoberfest. If the two of you are feeling adventurous on your Oktoberfest date, you can dress up like they do in Germany. Make sure to stop by and visit some friends and family while wearing your costumes. They will get a kick out of your date and will want to take some pictures. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and all the offerings of Oktoberfest and this wonderful time of year during your date.
Sports
The Olympics is always a must-see event. If you're fortunate enough to be there in person, it will be a remarkable, unforgettable experience. Don't worry if you can't attend the Olympics in person on your date. Watching the Olympics can be even more fun because you can prepare all kinds of snacks or even order a pizza to chow down on during the games. If you and your spouse are real sports fans, you can choose favorite athletes to see who will win. Want to take your date to the next level? Place friendly wagers on the outcomes of the games. For example, if your athlete wins, your spouse will have to do the laundry the next time.
Home
Open houses are a lot of fun, and it doesn't matter if you're only window shopping or looking to buy a home. If you're a young couple, it will be fun to look at houses to see what you want in the future. By going to open houses, you'll have a better idea of what the other wants in a new home. If you have no intent on buying a house, going to open houses is still an enjoyable experience because you get to see what homes look like in different areas. Take a look at houses all over and imagine what it would be like to live in them. If you live in an area with homes for sale, you can walk to them and add a little exercise to your date.
Entertainment
Everyone out there has at least one good joke in them. Your local comedy club probably has an open mic night now and then. The two of you can go up as a team or individually and try your best to make people laugh. If you're too afraid to get up there yourself, enjoy how the scene unfolds as other people brave the microphone. You can have a date where you try out your jokes on the other person. Give each other tips on how to improve the jokes and polish them before hitting the stage. You'll need at least a couple minutes of material, but it's not that hard to come up with stuff. After you have your jokes ready, you're now on your way to making people bust a gut laughing. Telling jokes in front of an audience is an exhilarating experience, and it's something that both of you might want to do again.
Arts & Culture
The opera is a date night event that the ladies usually seem to enjoy a more than the men. But, there are plenty of operas that appeal to both sexes or you may be willing to sit through it as a special occasion for your wife. Pay a few extra dollars and get the binoculars so you can see what's going on. Unless you're sitting in the front row, it's hard to see what's going on the stage. The opera is far more entertaining when you can both see and hear what's going on. Also, the further back you sit, the cheaper the tickets are. If you're on a budget, sit in the back and take turns looking through the binoculars.
Causes & Service
Have you ever thought about becoming an organ donor? If not, it's something that everyone needs to talk about. The discussion would make for a perfect date night activity. It's a conversation every couple needs to have. Why not make a list of the pros and cons of donating your organs? It will be interesting to see which one of you wants to donate their organs. You might find out that both of you either want to donate or don't want to. The conversation will go into all sorts of unexpected areas, which is good because it'll give you a chance to get to know your spouse better.
Home
Is your house a mess? Does it look like a cyclone has burst through your home? If so, it's time for an organizing date. To make organizing a date, all you have to do is find an area of your home, garage, or shed that needs to be organized. You might have to go through things or simply move them around to make everything neat and tidy. Take breaks and have some snacks prepared to make the date even more enjoyable. You can make your organizing date more fun by making a game plan before you begin. Take before and after pictures so that you can show off your handiwork and brag to each other about the job you did.
Outdoors
Orienteering is where you follow a course with the aid of a map and a compass for those of you who don't know. Some courses are rugged and meant to be ran, while others are more about nature and outdoors. If speed and exercise are your goal, you'll want to see how quickly you can go from one end of the course to the other. You aren't going to time yourself, but it is fun to challenge yourselves to see how quickly you can run the course. You can run the course as a couple or go solo to see who has the best time. You might want to run the course together for the first time so that you both know what you're in for. Also, it will be exciting to see how the other reacts to the course that will challenge you in every way possible.
Hobbies
The fun thing about origami is you can create a million different things out of small pieces of paper. Allow your creativity to run wild and see what you come up with. You and your spouse have different interests, and they will come out when you're creating things using paper pieces. If you want to have a total blast, then try to guess what each other is making. Sometimes the most fun is trying to come up with what your spouse is making out of the folded paper. Your creativity often runs wild when you're trying to outdo each other when trying to create the best origami.
