Family
Traditions are such an essential part of who we are. If you have a family, it's always nice to teach your children about your traditions. Why not turn a date night into an evening of learning about your traditions and finding ways to preserve them? The memories that come about from reliving the traditions make the effort all that worthwhile. People from your past will spurt out of nowhere and, along with them, memories that you thought you forgot. Traditions have a way of dying in the modern technical era, but they don't have to. Preserve your past while also protecting your future by setting and doing traditions that have been passed on from generations past.
Eclectic
Traveling by train is an elegant way to travel. The view from outside the window is always fun because trains cover so much ground. You'll see beautiful wilderness, big cities, and everything in between. Trains can also have restaurants and even sleeping quarters. Dialogue has a way of flowing after the train starts to go down the tracks. It's when you realize that the two of you are going to be together for a while that the talking begins. Enjoy the trip, but more importantly, enjoy being with each other. Talk, eat, and get an eyeful of the moving scenery from outside the window.
Fun & Games
A unique date idea for any married couple is to go to a trampoline park. You've probably never thought of having a date on a trampoline. The trampolines at a park are safe, and they have fences that keep everyone in. You don't have to worry about bouncing off the trampoline and ending up in the hospital while on your date. If you plan on going out to eat as part of your date, save it for after you've spent a few hours jumping up and down. All the bouncing around might make you feel a little queasy after eating. A date at the trampoline park will be something you remember forever.
Travel
A little weekend getaway or a full-blown vacation are both great ideas for a date. If you don't have that much free time to work with, go on an evening road trip. The whole point is, get out there with the person you love and enjoy some scenery. Traveling is something couples do to learn about each other. You get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and allow each other to explore who you really are. Traveling is always more about learning about yourselves than it is about sightseeing. You never come back the same person as you left when you travel. Your relationship will change, and you will know each other on a much deeper level after traveling together.
Fun & Games
The pursuit of hidden treasure is always exciting. A treasure hunting date can be even more exciting if you find something during your hunt. The best places to search for hidden treasure are historical sites that people have long forgotten about. Will you find a treasure chest filled with gold and jewels? Probably not, but you might find some old relics, coins, or any metal artifacts that can stand the test of time. Get ahold of some old maps, a compass, a metal detector or whatever tools to make the job easier and head out on the hunt. If you want to take it a different direction, hide some treasure and see if your spouse can find it. No matter if you wish to find hidden treasure or hide it yourself, a date like this will get you outside and enjoying some fresh air and adventure.
Outdoors
Tree climbing is a date activity that can make you feel like a kid again. Seeing how high up each of you can climb in the tree is the exciting part. How high can you get before looking down is too scary? Snap a couple of pictures of each other while you're high up in the trees. No one will ever believe that the two of you decided to have a tree-climbing date. Big sturdy trees are the best to climb that are healthy and have plenty of branches to grab onto.
Fun & Games
A tree house can be a world of opportunities for a date. If you don't have access to one already you can build the tree house as your date. If you already have a tree house, you can have a date inside it. Why not bring along some food, snacks, and/or drinks and eat them all in your tree house? Bring along your smartphone or tablet, and you can watch your favorite TV shows or YouTube videos. A tree house is a great place to have a date because it will get you away from it all, without having to venture too far from your house.
Travel
Going for a ride on a trolly is a great way to feel like you're instantly blasted back into the past. A trolly doesn't travel very fast, so the two of you will have plenty of time to observe what's going on outside the window. Whether it's called a trolly, a streetcar or a tram, the ride itself is a great date idea, but it's even better if you take it to a destination, such as a restaurant. A slow ride in a trolly is a wonderful experience, and it's made even better since you have plenty of time to enjoy it.
Fun & Games
You better be prepared for anything and everything during a game of truth or dare. You never know what your spouse is going to say or do. Sometimes the truth can be far more terrible than a dare. Are you willing to test your relationship to see how truthful your spouse is? If you can't handle the truth, you might be forced to take a dare. Somehow a truth or dare date always ends up being super wild, and it's an experience no couple will ever forget. Of course we all want to be friends afterwards, so go easy on the questions and dares with your spouse or the game won't be any fun.

Tubing is an outdoor adventure that is as exciting as it is beautiful. Tubing can refer to sliding down a hill in the snow, floating down the river or being pulled behind a boat in a lake. In either case you get to enjoy the great outdoors while sliding, floating along or rushing through the water. If you're being pulled behind a boat you can be pulled at the same time, or you can go individually to watch each other. Tubing can be a ton of fun whether you're getting wet, flying down a hill or just lazily floating along. If you've done everything you can think of as a couple outside, chances are pretty good tubing is one of the few things you haven't done. Every couple, regardless if you like the outdoors or not, should go tubing at least once.
