Eclectic
Every person has at least one invention in them that they want to see so desperately. Two brains are better than one, and this is a date idea that any couple can do. Sit down and combine your thinking power and come up with an invention that solves a problem. You can either sketch it out on a piece of paper or head to the computer and use a graphics program to bring your idea to life. Who knows, maybe you can patent your invention and make big bucks off of it.
Fun & Games
Feel like a kid again by having a water park date. Make it an all-day date and have even more fun. You might want to map out your adventure before going. If you plan your water park activities in advance, then you might be able to beat the lines. Water parks usually have restaurants where you can eat and enjoy a lazy day away from home. If you really want to splurge, go to a water park that has a hotel. Get a room for the weekend and turn your water park date into a mini weekend vacation. Don't forget your sunscreen, sunglasses and flip flops and just have a blast.
Sports
What is spelunking? Spelunking or caving is where you walk through or explore a cave. Usually, spelunking is done with a group that is led by someone experienced with the cave. Trekking through a cave can be dangerous, so make sure you're prepared and with the right people. The interesting thing about walking in a cave is that you get to walk through the earth's history. It's hard to believe that areas like these exist all over the world beneath our feet. If the cave has a gift shop, you might want to consider buying a souvenir, so you always have something to remember your cave excursion date.

A car date is a great way to spend your time together regardless of what time of year it is. It might be in the dead of winter or in the middle of summer, a date in your car is always fantastic. What do you do while in your car? Anything! Just parking your car and talking while you cuddle is a great date. Or you could go for a nice scenic drive and listen to music. After you're done sightseeing, you can get something to eat. A drive-in is a real fun place to eat at, and you never have to get out of your car. Fast food restaurants are great too, and you don't have to step foot out of the vehicle. After all that, a great way to wind down a car date is by going to a drive-in movie.
Outdoors
A trip to the zoo on a gorgeous day outside is a fantastic adventure. If the weather is less than stellar outside, usually the zoo has indoor attractions that you can enjoy. Go from animal to animal and see if you can identify each of them by name. You'll be surprised by several of the animals that you've never seen before. Insects, fish, and reptiles often give people the most difficulty when trying to come up with their names. Take a few pictures of each other with some of your favorite animals to make sure that this zoo's trip is never forgotten. The zoo is a perfect date for the two of your or with your children if you have any.
Home
Everyone always turns their head when they see a classic car rolling down the street. Couples can do everything from minor vehicle restoration to a full-blown restoration. If you're the type of couple who sees a hunk of rusted out metal and thinks it's a beautiful thing, then this is a date for you. The level of restoration you're able to do will depend on the skills and tools you have in the garage. Everyone can do little things like work with the interior or patch up some paint chips. If you're really good at turning a junker into a masterpiece, you might even consider starting a family business doing retro car restorations.
Tours
Ghost towns hold such historical value that they are something that every history buff should visit. Going on a ghost town tour is one of the best ways to see one of these deserted towns and learn about its history. If you can't find a tour for whatever reason, don't hesitate to take a trip to a local ghost town. You will want to do as much research as possible about the town before you go there, so you have a full understanding of what you are about to see. Ghost towns are amazing in that they preserve life as it was even though time has flown by. You can get a feeling for what life was like when the town was bustling by the buildings and the remnants of the lives of the people who lived and worked in them.
Travel
Going for a nice relaxing drive is a great way to spend some quality time with your spouse. Hitting the open road offers up many opportunities for conversation and closeness that you otherwise would not be able to obtain on your own. A driving date can consist of taking a stroll through town or hitting the road and taking the highway and seeing where it ends up. A driving date is made even more enjoyable if you go out for a bite to eat. You can visit a drive-in restaurant or get fast food and eat it in your car. Sometimes a great way to end a driving date is to find a secluded area and relax while listening to music and allow the conversation to go wherever it may. Who knows, you might even be able to sneak a kiss while you're parked.
